Ardingly College is a co-educational boarding and day independent school in West Sussex, the estate acquired in 1862 Canon Nathaniel Woodard whose aim was to provide education firmly grounded in the Christian faith.
Today Ardingly occupies a 420-acre site situated at the southern edge of Ardingly village, the school has educated four former Conservative MPs, Private Eye editor Ian Hislop, actor Terry Thomas and author Neil Gaiman.
Ardingly College had three old gas boilers serving hot water and heating to the Hilton and Merton Buildings which were beyond their economical life.
They were looking for a solution which offered easy maintenance, energy saving cost reduction to cover the replacement in a short period of time and a serving contact to maintain the boilers once installed.
02. Water Treatment
As a school Ardingly College have a responsibility to protect against Legionella forming in the water system.
Legionella is particularly harmful to Children and the Elderly.
TSS designed and installed a space-saving cascade system incorporating 6 x 114kw Remeha Quinta Pro boilers to the Hilton and Merton buildings.
The commercial condensing boilers installed operate high efficiency hot water Calorifiers which achieve 0ºC to 55ºC in 17 minutes. A new flueing system was installed and we also updated the heating controls to achieve the desired energy saving.
TSS maintain the boilers to ensure optimal performance and to reduce the likelihood of the heating system failing.
02. Water Treatment
Our water treatment team completed L8 Risk Assessments on all the buildings on the campus and created a water treatment schedule including, weekly flushes of little used outlets, monthly flushes on the water tanks and
